How reliable is the SkyBus service especially in the early hours of the morning? |
We strive for excellence by keeping a close watch on punctuality for buses departing and arriving. However, sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances, timing may be compromised. Rest assured, we have enough buses on standby to stand in should any unforeseen event occur.

Is the SkyBus service available daily from Monday to Sunday? |
SkyBus operates daily, 7 days a week and 365 days a year, including public holidays. During peak time, buses run at a 15-minute interval. At off-peak time, buses run at a 30-minute interval. SkyBus schedules are available at KL Sentral and LCC-T. |

Is RM9 applicable to children, as well?

Children between the ages of 3 - 12 can travel on the child ticket at RM4 per child. Children below the age of 3 travel for free.

Is the ticket price RM9, regardless of time of departure and arrival?
|
A standard rate of RM9 is applicable to all buses leaving at any point of time according to the schedule.

Where can I buy the bus ticket ? |
Tickets may be purchased on board any AirAsia flight from the cabin crew or on our bus. If purchased on our bus, then payment is made only upon embarkation/disembarkation at LCC-T. There are also designated SkyBus ticket booths at LCC-T for the purchase of tickets.

Do outstation buses (including those from Singapore) also arrive and depart from KL Sentral? If not, how do we get to KL Sentral from the various bus terminals? |
No, they do not. You can take a cab, the Light Rapid Transport (LRT) or the KTM Komuter to get to KL Sentral. |
Does the bus go straight to LCC-T or does it go to LCC-T via KLIA? |
SkyBus is a direct shuttle between KL Sentral and LCC-T only. It does not make any stops along the way nor does it go to KLIA. |
From LCC-T, how does one get to KLIA? |
There is a shuttle bus from LCC-T to KLIA and vice versa. The fare is RM1.50 one way. It leaves every 30 minutes. |
Is KL Sentral the only station where the bus departs from for LCC-T? |
Yes. Currently, we only leave from KL Sentral. In the future, there are plans for multiple pickup points. At the moment, however, you would need to make your own way to KL Sentral. |
Is there a direct bus available from LCC-T to Genting Highlands? |
No, there isn't. The bus to Genting Highlands departs only from KL Sentral.

Where are the nearest hotels to KL Sentral located? |
The KL Hilton and Le Meridien are located next to KL Sentral. Across Jalan Tun Sambanthan, you will find many budget hotels.

Where can I board the bus at KL Sentral?
|
The SkyBus terminal is located at the lower ground floor of KL Sentral. It faces the open air car park and Jalan Tun Sambanthan. There are clear sign-boards in KL Sentral to aid passengers. If still unsure, please ask the information counter at KL Sentral for directions. Click here for map

About Making Reservations

Can I purchase the bus tickets in advance to avoid the tickets being sold out? |
Not at the moment. However, buses leave every 15 minutes and 30 minutes depending on peak and off-peak times respectively. Therefore, there should be ample seats available.

Do I need to produce the AirAsia flight itinerary to purchase the SkyBus ticket? |
Not necessary. |
Tickets may be purchased on board any AirAsia flight from the cabin crew or at designated SkyBus ticket booths at LCC-T and the SkyBus platform at LCC-T. At KL Sentral, you just need to board the bus and pay when you arrive at LCC-T. |
I would like to know whether there is a special discounted fare for senior citizens and children. |
At the moment there are no promotions for senior citizens. Children between the ages of 3-12 need only pay RM4 per child. |
Is this service only for those who carry AirAsia flight tickets or can anyone use this mode of transportation? |
This service is for everyone. |
The fare is RM9 only. Are there any terms and conditions attached to the price? |
Yes. Please read our terms and conditions as stated on the ticket and as extensively outlined in this website. RM9 is the standard rate applicable for a one-way trip between Kl Sentral and LCC-T for anyone 2 years of age and above. |
What time is your ticket counter open at LCC-T? |
From 3.30 a.m. until 12.30 a.m. at LCC-T.

- Check in at LCCT 1 hour before departure
- Time slot recommended is minimum 11/2 hour prior
- Example : Flight departs from LCCT is 9:30pm, recommended SkyBus time slot is 7:00pm
